Social infrastructure community workshops

Social Infrastructure Strategy_YHYSHawkesbury City Council is preparing a Social Infrastructure Strategy to guide decisions about the planning, delivery, funding and management of open spaces, sporting and recreation facilities, community, cultural, and creative facilities as well as other places where people can gather and connect.

Community members are invited to attend a workshop session to share insights and ideas about why community facilities, recreational and sporting venues, parks, and open spaces are important to the Hawkesbury community and what is required to meet the needs of the growing Hawkesbury community.

Workshop dates:

  • Thursday, 2 March from 6pm to 7:30pm at the Hawkesbury Leisure and Learning Centre, 114 March Street, Richmond
  • Tuesday, 7 March from 6pm to 7:30pm (online)
  • Wednesday, 15 March from 6pm to 7:30pm at the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor.

  • Sunday, 12 March 11am to 2pm at George Street Mall, Windsor, area in front of the Fitzroy Hotel
  • Saturday, 18 March 9:30am to 11am at Wilberforce Shopping Centre, King Road, Wilberforce
  • Saturday,18 March 1:30pm to 3pm at Pitt Town and District Sports Club, 139 Old Pitt Town Road, Pitt Town

Community feedback is critical to inform the final strategy and ensure that the local community experience and knowledge is part of how we plan, deliver, and manage social infrastructure across the Hawkesbury.
