We’re testing the soil along the Bay Trail to inform our environmental protection plans for the Sandringham foreshore.
These tests will take place from Tuesday 2 June to Wednesday 6 May along the Bay Trail south of Sandringham Beach, near the Sandringham Band Rotunda.
Short sections of the trail will be temporarily closed to enable social distancing and ensure pedestrian safety while works are in progress. Signage will direct people to use alternate paths.
These works are part of the Sandringham Foreshore and Harbour Masterplan and will help Council to protect foreshore areas of environmental and cultural significance.
