South Hedland crash arrest

South Hedland Police have charged a man after a vehicle crash that occurred this morning, Friday 23 August 2019 in South Hedland.

It is alleged about 12.40am, the man was driving his Holden utility along Smith Street when he lost control of the vehicle which went through a fence and struck a vacant bedroom of a house on Smith Street.

Luckily the occupants of the home were asleep in other areas of the home and were not injured.

The 31-year-old male driver, from South Hedland has been charged with:-

• Excess 0.08%; and

• Reckless Driving.

He is due to appear before the South Hedland Magistrates Court on 23 September 2019.
