Spring school holidays sorted in City

Get the kids ready for a spectacular Spring school break, with a smorgasbord of affordable activities on offer right here in the City of Perth.

These holidays see the return of the beloved AWESOME International Arts Festival, the launch of the new EverNow festival, and countless opportunities to get the kids out of the house and into the Spring sunshine.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said he was particularly excited to see so many free events on offer.

“We know keeping kids busy day after day can quickly become a costly exercise, but I’m thrilled to report we have plenty of activities here in the City that won’t break the bank,” Mr Zempilas said.

“The City of Perth Library, as always, is putting on a variety of free events for children of all ages, from Dinosaur Picnics and Junk Puppets to holiday craft.

“Then there’s our City’s natural beauty which really shines at this time of year. Pack a picnic and visit John Oldham Park or Queens Gardens and feast amongst the adorable cygnets, ducklings and baby turtles.

“After mingling with the fauna, take a stroll to Kings Park to see the flora, with the Everlasting Kings Park Festival in bloom.

“Heading into October we’ll see the return of the popular Twilight Food Market at Forrest Place, so pop in and grab a bite before heading to the EverNow festival.

“There’s something for everyone on every budget in the City these school holidays.”

Check out the Visit Perth website for everything on offer, but here’s a few of the must-see highlights.
