Greater Dandenong Criminal Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a theft from a car and subsequent deceptions in Springvale last month.
Investigators have been told a vehicle was broken into and two bank cards stolen on 29 June.
The bank cards were then used in numerous stores along Springvale Road between 6am and 9am that same day.
Police have released an image of two males they believe can assist with their investigation.
