Stolen car at Prospect – two arrested, South Australia

A man and a woman has been arrested after patrols spotted a stolen car overnight in Prospect.

Just before 10.30pm on Saturday 21 March, patrols located a stolen Holden sedan on Churchill Road with three occupants and maintained tactical observations following the car through several western suburbs.

A short time later, PolAir commenced following the car from the air for about 25 minutes before it was abandoned in Reid Street at Plympton where the driver and two passengers ran off.

Police set up cordons and located two of suspects a short time later on the roof of a nearby house.

A 21-year-old man from Renown Park was charged with illegal use, unlawfully on premises, dangerous driving to avoid police, drive disqualified and driving under the influence while an 18-year-old woman, also from Renown Park was charged with illegal use and unlawfully on premises. Both have been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Investigations are continuing in relation to the third suspect. The Holden sedan was stolen from a house at Lightsview earlier in the day.
