Stolen ID used in Brunswick

Brunswick police are appealing for public assistance to identify a woman who used stolen identification to purchase a mobile phone in Brunswick last month.

Police have been told a woman had her handbag and purse stolen in Southbank on Saturday 1 June.

It is believed the victim’s identification was then used by an unknown woman to purchase a mobile phone at a store on Sydney Road in Brunswick on Wednesday 26 June.

Police have released an image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
