Jeremy Rockliff,Minister for Education and Training

Students at Riverside High School are now learning in new contemporary, state-of-the-art facilities following a $13 million redevelopment as part of the Government’s plan to improve educational outcomes and create a job ready generation of young Tasmanians.

The major redevelopment includes new and upgraded general and specialist learning areas, student common rooms, an administration building and extensive landscaping.

It has allowed for significant changes to the layout of the school and the location of teaching and learning spaces, ultimately transforming the school into a modern 21st century learning facility.

These new and refurbished facilities will provide quality learning spaces for future generations of students and have already been warmly embraced by current learners.

Tasmanian companies ARTAS Architects and Fairbrother have worked collaboratively with the school community to deliver these important improvements and bring the project to life.

The Tasmanian Government is committed to investing in education infrastructure across the state which includes new schools, upgrades, new Child and Family Learning Centres and school farm redevelopments.

We want to ensure all Tasmanian students have the contemporary environments and facilities to ensure they have the best possible chance to learn, grow and thrive.
