City of Logan residents experiencing anxiety, especially from recent flooding, may benefit from a free special Logan Libraries’ seminar later this month.

Clinical psychologist Dr Jodie Lowinger will use the seminar to discuss ways to curb anxiety, conquer fear and build resilience.

Dr Lowinger is the founder of Sydney Anxiety Clinic founder and author of the bestseller The Mind Strength Method.

City of Logan Mayor Darren Power said the online seminar would cover topics which had become even more prevalent over the last two years because of recent flooding and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Anxiety stemming from the uncertainty we’ve been facing has affected many people and left them needing ways to re-focus their thoughts and alleviate their worries,” Cr Power said.

“Dr Lowinger will provide suggestions to help people deal with anxiety in a calm and constructive way.”

The What if you could turn anxiety into your superpower? online one-hour seminar by Dr Lowinger is on Thursday, March 31, from 6pm.

Bookings are essential and can be made via the library website on loganlibraries.org/what’s on or telephone 3412 5420.

A range of resources that support mental health is also available through Logan Libraries and can be accessed via the library website.
