Support local gets amped up

From July, Cessnock City Council will be amplifying its support for local business through the Product Champion Program.

As part of the program, there will be weekly advertising in our local paper, The Cessnock Advertiser, and on social media promoting one new Product Champion business every week.

Mayor Jay Suvaal is encouraging businesses across the local government area to get involved with the program.

“This is a great opportunity for local businesses to give their products and services an extra push,” Mayor Suvaal said.

“I am encouraging business operators to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase what they do to the people of the Cessnock Local Government Area.”

This program is being funded under a $150,000 Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program. Local businesses are invited to take advantage of this free marketing opportunity by completing a business profile at www.advancecessnock.com.au.

There are limited spots so businesses need to act quickly. Local business owners are being encouraged to follow the @advancecessnock Facebook page, as a source of up-to-date business information.

It is via these platforms that business owners will have access to business support, local campaigns, grant opportunities and workshops.
