Council has committed $10,000 to support Cairns-based not-for-profit associations to join Tradelinked Cairns Incorporated’s business delegation to Papua New Guinea.
The funding will be provided through Council’s Industry and Economic Development Fund (IEDF), which aims to support local organisations with the development and delivery of projects that benefit Cairns.
The funding will be used to partially cover the costs of participation in their upcoming delegation to Papua New Guinea for up to four cultural and sporting not-for-profit organisations within Cairns.
The delegation is due to take place between 3-12 October 2022 and is also supported in-country by Austrade and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
