Surfer dies at Collaroy Beach, NSW

A man has died while surfing at the northern beaches of Sydney today.

About 12.45pm (Monday 10 August 2020), witnesses pulled an unconscious surfer from the water at Collaroy Beach.

CPR was performed on the 44-year-old man until the arrival of emergency services.

He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital and later died.

Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended and have commenced inquiries.

A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
