Police are appealing for witnesses after two suspicious scrub fires in the Port Hills yesterday.
The first fire was reported shortly after midnight near Worsleys Road.
The second was reported at 11:30pm near Summit Road.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in either area at the times of the fires.
“Police will be increasing patrols in the Port Hills area to prevent this occurring again,” says Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Cottam.
