Remotely piloted aircraft operator certificate (ReOC) holders can now use a CASA-verified drone safety app to apply to fly:
- within 5.5 km of Adelaide, Canberra, Perth and Sydney airports
- in restricted airspace near Sydney Harbour.
Automated airspace authorisations:
- reduce approval times from weeks to minutes
- allow you to secure more business, in new locations, faster
- save you time and money.
Only chief remote pilots with a current ReOC can apply.
If you hold an RPA operator accreditation, you must follow the standard operating conditions for micro and excluded category RPA.
If you’re flying drones for fun, you must follow the drone safety rules that apply to all types of drones.
