Council will conduct live testing of the Greenpatch flood warning system tomorrow (5 November).
The warning system has been installed to ensure there is sufficient time for evacuation of the campground before floodwaters potentially start to enter the lower areas of the site.
Tomorrow’s test will begin with a voice recording lasting about 25 seconds, followed by a siren tone, also lasting about 30 seconds.
This is a test only. Residents and visitors in the area do not need to take any action.
Family pets should be secured to ensure they do not escape their yard during the test.
