Theft and deceptions in South

Detectives from Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit are investigating following a series of thefts from cars and subsequent in the south east earlier this month.

Investigators believe an unknown offender broke into multiple cars Hanleath Avenue, Springvale on 1 September.

Bank cards stolen from the vehicles were later used on the same day at service stations in Clayton South, Keysborough, Dandenong, Doveton and Narre Warren, as well as a Narre Warren shopping complex.

Detectives have released images of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 25 to 35-year-old, with a medium build, brown hair, and a number of distinctive tattoos to his right elbow, right and left forearm, and right and left hand side of his neck.

The man was also pictured with another unknown man travelling in a silver Holden Commodore sedan displaying false plates.
