Theft of limited release cognac in Ascot Vale

Police are investigating after limited release cognac was stolen from a bottle shop in Ascot Vale in March.

It’s understood an unknown female entered the Mount Alexander Road store, just after 6pm on Saturday 28 March, and placed two bottles of the Martell Blue Swift cognac in her bag before walking out without paying.

Investigators have released images of a woman, with distinctive sweeping long brown hair down to her waist, who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The woman is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and described as aged between 30 to 40-years-old with a medium build.

She was wearing a white cap, white t-shirt with black text ‘ok’ written across the front, black pants, white flats and carrying both a black bum-bag and large black handbag.

Anyone who recognises the woman or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
