Theresa Best resigns from CV Board

Cricket Victoria today announces the resignation of Theresa Best as a Director to the CV Board.

Ms Best joined Cricket Victoria as a Board-appointed Director in 2018 following a successful career in the education and commercial sectors.

Ms Best continues to hold a senior marketing role with national building supplier the Southern Star Group.

During her four-year tenure at Cricket Victoria, Ms Best served as Chair of the Board’s Community Cricket and Marketing committees and was a Director of the Melbourne Renegades.

She also chaired the G21 Barwon Region Cricket Advisory Committee, since 2018.

Together with her fellow Directors, Ms Best played a key role in leading the organisation throughout the peak of the COVID pandemic.

At community level, Ms Best has been a strong advocate for grassroots cricket participation growth across the state and throughout the Geelong and the wider Barwon region in particular.

Cricket Victoria Chair Dr David Maddocks said:

“On behalf of all CV Directors, I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to Theresa for her great contribution to the Board over the last four years,” Dr Maddocks said.

“The last two years in particular have certainly been a challenging environment for all organisations and Theresa’s acumen has been invaluable in navigating our way through those challenges. Theresa leaves an important legacy for Geelong cricket and cricket throughout Victoria and I wish her ongoing success in the future.”
