Three injured in crash in Barrier

Three people have been injured in a crash in the state’s far west yesterday.

About 6.30pm (Tuesday 3 November 2020), emergency services were called to the Barrier Highway, about 80km west of Wilcannia, after a silver Nissan Pulsar left the roadway and rolled.

Police have been told the Nissan driver – a 41-year-old woman – was travelling east on the Barrier Highway where she lost control of the vehicle after overtaking causing the vehicle to rotate and roll.

The driver was found near the vehicle and treated on scene by NSW Ambulance before being taken to Broken Hill Base Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The passenger a 29-year-old woman was found unconscious and was airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctors Service to Broken Hill Base Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The third passenger a 45-year-old woman was treated on scene and taken to Wilcannia Medical Facility for treatment of minor injuries.

Officers from Barrier Police District established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
