Three teenagers charged with burglary and other offences in Labrador, QLD

Police have charged three teenagers with multiple offences after responding to a call of an alleged burglary in Labrador yesterday.

Around 10am police were called to a Brown Street address after the resident returned home to find the front door had allegedly been forced open. The resident closed and locked the door before calling police, allegedly while the three teenagers were still in the property.

It is alleged the three teenagers left from the rear of the house.

A short time later police attended an Adam Court apartment complex and declared an emergent search of the property. While searching the property it will be alleged one of the offenders began throwing some of the stolen property at officers. Police allegedly recovered six designer watches, sunglasses and other jewellery items.

A 13-year-old girl was charged with one count of burglary and one count of unlawful use of motor vehicle.

Gold Coast District Chief Superintendent, Mark Wheeler, said property crime remains a key focus for the district.
