By becoming an Adobe Creative Campus, we are offering all our students digital skills to boost their employability

As an Adobe Creative Campus institution, Torrens University and its design faculty Billy Blue College of Design will provide its design students with comprehensive access to Adobe Creative Cloud, including six months of access after graduation, as well as Adobe Express for all students. Adobe Express is a quick and easy content creation app that empowers anyone to make and share standout social media posts, videos, flyers, logos, presentations, documents and more.

Students will acquire vital digital skills that are highly coveted in the job market, become well-prepared for future career challenges, and earn certifications that showcase their expertise to prospective employers.

Professor Scott Thompson-Whiteside, Executive Dean of Design and Creative Technology, expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership with Adobe.

“Today’s design students are not just designers; they are storytellers at the cutting edge of innovation. With Adobe’s advanced tools, such as Creative Cloud and Adobe Express, all of our students can craft compelling narratives and present their ideas in transformative ways. This Adobe Creative Campus designation allows them to harness these technologies, turning their creative visions into impactful stories,” said Professor Thompson-Whiteside.

“At Torrens University, we don’t merely adopt the latest technology; we integrate it deeply into our curriculum. By embedding Adobe’s leading tools into our programs, we enable students to master modern communication techniques—like video, podcasts, webpages, and data visualisation—ensuring they are fully equipped to meet the evolving demands of their future careers,” said Scott.

Additionally, Torrens University students will benefit from Adobe Firefly’s latest generative AI features, gaining insights into how this transformative technology is shaping the future of education and industry. The opportunity to earn Adobe-certified badges will further enhance their resumes, showcasing their expertise in presentation creation, social media engagement, and generative AI proficiency.

Darryn Melrose, Chief Marketing Officer & Industry Partnerships, emphasised the importance of digital literacy for all students.

“Digital literacy is essential for every student’s journey, regardless of their field of study. At Torrens, we provide top-notch tools to support learning wherever students are—whether they are at home or on the move. This university-wide initiative highlights Torrens University’s commitment to integrating technology and creativity into the educational experience, ensuring students are well-prepared for the rapidly evolving digital landscape,” said Darryn.
