Tourism and Neuroscience research take top billing at the 5 Minute Research Pitch finals

Early to mid-career researchers in Tourism and Neuroscience took
out the top spots at the 5 Minute Research Pitch (5RP) University of Tasmania final held, on Friday
2 November 2018.

A total of fifteen researchers from across the University
competed in the 5RP competition, with six progressing to the final and two winning a place in the National Final.

Alison Dunn from the College of Business and Economics and
Emma Eaton from the College of Health and Medicine each won $1000 in research
funding and an all-expenses paid trip to represent the University in the National Final
at the University of Southern Queensland in Brisbane, later this month.

The 5RP competition involves researchers delivering a
five-minute presentation of their current or recently completed research with
the aid of three PowerPoint slides.

Congratulations to all of the researchers who participated
and thanks to everyone who supported the initiative.

The 5RP National Final will be available to watch via live
streaming at this link from 10am
