The Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 project’s sustainability efforts have once again been recognised, with Transport for NSW being named a finalist in the ‘Placemaking’ category of the 2024 Banksia National Sustainability Awards.
The project won last year’s state awards, which enabled it to progress to the national awards.
The Banksia National Sustainability Awards recognise finalists for their commitment to sustainability and social impact.
Transport for NSW has delivered many sustainability initiatives for the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 project, including innovative sustainable design and global construction practices to provide a future-proofed, well-connected and accessible public transport system.
