Trio arrested after carjackings in Noble Park and Glen Waverley

Two women and a man were arrested following two alleged carjackings and a pursuit in Noble Park and Glen Waverley this morning.

It is alleged the trio were seen in a stolen blue utility on Crescent Way in Noble Park about 9am when they stopped to break into another vehicle.

They were disturbed by the owner of the vehicle and fled the scene in the stolen ute.

The offenders crashed into a brick fence on Corrigan Road where two women were arrested nearby.

It is alleged the male offender then stole a car from a victim on Kelvinside Road.

Police were called and a short pursuit was initiated and terminated.

The stolen vehicle was followed to a shopping centre in Glen Waverley where the offender attempted to rob a woman aged in her 70s and steal another car when he was arrested by police just after midday.

A 21-year-old Forest Hill woman and a 20-year-old Wonthaggi woman were both charged with theft of motor vehicle, attempted theft of motor vehicle and handle stolen goods.

They were bailed to appear at court at a later date.

A 22-year-old Mount Waverley man is currently in custody.
