Trio arrested in Boronia

Police have arrested three people following an alleged incident in Melbourne’s northern and eastern suburbs overnight.

Officers attempted to stop an allegedly stolen vehicle on Greensborough Road, Greensborough about 3.30am, however it failed to stop.

It was seen by police again on Greensborough Road shortly after and was followed with assistance from the Air Wing to Boronia.

The vehicle eventually stopped on Tormore Road, where a female exited the car.

It started to take off again before coming to a stop a short distance away, with two males allegedly running from the vehicle.

The driver, a 17-year-old male, was arrested in the backyard of an address.

His male passenger, a 16-year-old, was arrested close by with assistance from Critical Incident Response Team officers.

The 24-year-old woman was also arrested.

All three are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.
