Two arrested and $100k worth of stolen property located during Point Cook warrants

Detectives from Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit arrested two people and seized over $100,000 worth of stolen property during warrants in Point Cook last week.

Officers attended an address on Nossal Drive about 2pm on Thursday, 6 January as part of an ongoing theft and deception investigation.

The investigation commenced last August after a number of people reported their household property was never delivered to their address after being picked up by removalists.

A man and woman were arrested on Thursday before detectives located and seized a large amount of allegedly stolen items including televisions, kitchenware and couches.

A 30-year-old Point Cook man has been charged with six counts of theft, six counts of obtain property by deception and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

He appeared before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last week where he was bailed to re-appear in court on 11 May.

A 28-year-old Point Cook woman was charged with six counts of theft and six counts of obtain property by deception.

She was bailed to appear before the Werribee Magistrates’ Court on 27 June.

The investigation remains ongoing.
