Two pedestrians seriously injured after being hit by car, NSW

A man and a woman are in a stable condition after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west tonight.

Just after 7pm (Friday 11 September 2020), emergency services were called to Ovens Drive, Werrington County, after two pedestrians were hit by a Mazda hatchback.

A 51-year-old man was treated at the scene for suspected fractures and a head injury.

A 54-year-old woman was treated for suspected fractures and head injuries.

The couple have been taken to Westmead Hospital where they are both reported to be in a stable condition.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended and arrested the driver, a 35-year-old man, who was uninjured.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

Investigations are continuing.
