Two stolen cars = three arrested in Mt Waverley

Nunawading Highway Patrol members arrested three offenders in two separate stolen cars, late Saturday night, 13 November.

Investigators initially sighted a stolen red Holden Commodore in Police Road, Mount Waverley just before 11pm.

Police followed the car with the assistance of the Air Wing, through several suburbs, before the offender abandoned the car in a shopping centre back on Police Road.

The male was followed and was seen to be picked up by a black Audi with false plates.

Police intercepted the car on Police Road and it was also found to be a stolen car.

Police arrested the three occupants without incident.

A 23-year-old Dandenong man was charged with 11 charges including theft, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, handling stolen goods, weapons, traffic and bail offences.

A 24-year-old Berwick woman was charged with four offences, including possessing a drug of dependence, weapons and bail offences.

They were both remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later this morning.

A 31-year-old Keysborough man was charged with six offences, including theft, handle stolen goods, possessing proceeds of crime and traffic offences.

He was bailed to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates Court on 13 May 2022.
