Unlawful wounding charges in Heritage Park, QLD

A 15-year-old boy has been charged following an incident in Heritage Park this afternoon.

Around 3.15pm, a 26-year-old man went to the aid of an elderly man on a mobility scooter who had been accosted by three teenagers on pathway behind a service station on Waller Road.

A physical altercation occurred between the 26-year-old man and the youths, then one of the teenagers produced a knife and stabbed the 26-year-old man.

The 26-year-old man then restrained the 15-year-old and lead him into the service station where 000 were contacted.

The 26-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in Beenleigh Childrens Court tomorrow.
