Bayside’s new Council will meet on 17 December 2020 to discuss the upgrade of sports facilities at Oval 4 in Elsternwick Park South, along with several other matters.
Following the recent local government election, sportsground upgrade works at Oval 4 were delayed to enable our new Council to gain a more detailed understanding of the project and provide an opportunity for further consideration before works began.
All required consents from State Government authorities, including Melbourne Water and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) have been obtained to enable the sportsground and lighting works to commence at a future date, if the upgrade receives the continued support of Council.
This Special Meeting of Council will be live-steamed via Council’s website from 6.30pm on Thursday 17 December 2020. A Special Meeting cannot hear public questions or petitions; however, members of the community can submit a written statement (Request to be Heard) before 9am on the day of the meeting.
