Australian Catholic University (ACU) engaged an independent external adviser in July 2023 to investigate matters raised in an ABC news story regarding legal proceedings against the company contracted to manage the university’s security and cleaning services.
The independent external investigation has now concluded.
Following the conclusion of the investigation, the university is satisfied that ACU’s executive and senior executive management acted appropriately at all times.
ACU engages in continuous improvement across all its operations and has already taken steps to improve its procurement and its declaration of interest processes.
The university will continue to review these processes in order to ensure that our campuses remain safe.
