Update: PSPA revoked in Cairns, QLD

Police have revoked the PSPA declared in Bungalow in relation to a police incident yesterday, March 29.

Shortly after 10.30am, police attended a property in Bungalow Street following reports of a disturbance.

An emergency situation was declared just after 12pm, with boundaries encompassing Little Spence Street, Buchan Street, Kidston Street and Hartley Street.

Police will allege when they attempted to engage the man, they were threatened with a spear gun which was fired at officers.

Officers contained the unit and negotiators were called in.

The emergency situation was revoked at 2.17am today, March 30.

There were no injuries.

A 46-year-old Bungalow man is assisting police with enquiries.

Investigations are continuing.
