Updated Activities Associated Direction – 14A September 2021, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Activities Associated No 14A) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been created. This Direction came into effect at 4pm on Monday 4 October 2021.This Direction specifically relates to the Local Government Areas of:

  • Mount Gambier City
  • District Council of Grant
  • Wattle Range Council.

These Local Government Areas will enter Level 3 Requirements with modifications. The key points are:

  • Density provisions for all defined public activities is now 1 person per 4 square metres
  • All consumption of food and beverages must be seated both indoors and outdoors
  • No communal food consumption
  • Mask must be worn in all indoor public places, including high risk settings, personal care services, health care services, indoor fitness facilities (except while exercising) and for passenger transport services
  • Masks are not required for bridal parties during ceremonies and people receiving health care or personal care services, if necessary for the provision of the health care service
  • Private activities are capped at 10, with no standing consumption or dancing permitted
  • Home gatherings are capped to the residents of the home plus 2 people
  • Singing is not permitted unless it is a person performing individually, a person is a member of a group performing or rehearsing, at an educational premises or a person is undertaking or providing an individual lesson. Karaoke is not permitted.
  • Dancing is not permitted unless it is members of a bridal party at wedding ceremony or reception or at a dance studio if no service of alcohol takes place.
  • No spectators are permitted at a sporting event or sports or fitness training unless they are a caregiver to the person participating. Only 1 caregiver is permitted per person
  • COVID Management Plans are required for events greater than 1000 people and are outdoors only
