In the course of overseeing the reconstruction of Kurmond Road, Freemans Reach Council observed sections of the new roadworks had failed between property numbers 670 and 730. The failures relate to ruts and potholes developing in the road surface together with some crumbling at the edges. Council is liaising with the contractor for the rectification as a matter of urgency.
The contractor, who was commissioned to do the roadwork, has provided the following statement:
“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to the community. We will be organising a technical investigation to determine the cause of the problem. Once we establish the cause of the problem we will rectify the issue”.
Council has arranged for the contractors to urgently investigate the failing sections of the road.
Road users and any members of the general public are able to report issues or make requests to Council using its online reporting system or by contacting its Customer Service centre.

Anyone submitting a photo with the form is requested to submit files that are no larger than 100KB. The online forms are now available at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/report-and-request-forms
The request forms have been created to make it easier for anyone to make reports and requests on a 24/7 basis. Council’s customer service staff are also available during business hours by calling 4560 4444 or by visiting Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor.
