Northern Territory Police have seized a vehicle carrying alcohol and drugs that was destined for Maningrida.
On Friday 10 November 2023, police intercepted a vehicle for a random breath test along Arnhem Highway.
A search of the vehicle located 3,000 deal bags and 2.5kgs of cannabis plant material concealed within the vehicle.
Additionally, police located 2 x 6 packs of beer.
The 33-year-old male driver was arrested and charged with:
- Possess schedule 2 drug – commercial quantity
- Supply schedule 2 drugs – commercial quantity
The motor vehicle used to transport the illegal substances was seized by police.
The male has been remanded in custody and due to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
