“We also particularly remember the 16 Tasmanian-born soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today.”

A number of Tasmanians will be remembered at Vietnam Veterans Vigils being held graveside at Cornelian Bay Cemetery, Carr Villa Cemetery, Wynyard Cemetery and Ulverstone Cemetery.

“The Vietnam Veteran Vigils being held in Tasmania are an opportunity for Tasmanians to pause and remember the service and sacrifice of Vietnam Veterans 50 years on from the cessation of the Vietnam War,” Minister Barnett said.
