Visiting City of Stonnington facilities, services and buildings

The past 18 months have been incredibly difficult and have impacted everyone in Stonnington in some way, and we’re looking forward to life returning to some form of normality over the coming weeks as restrictions ease.

As we move through the Victorian Government’s reopening roadmap, our public facing buildings, services and facilities will spring back to life. But it’s important that we do this safely, both for people visiting them and our staff working in them.

We believe that COVID-19 vaccination is the best way to reopen, while protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our community and staff. The surge in vaccination numbers in our community and across Victoria tells us that the vast majority of people agree.

In line with Victoria’s roadmap, from Friday 5 November* all staff and community members attending City of Stonnington operated facilities, services and buildings must be fully vaccinated. From October 26* when our pools reopen, aquatics staff will be fully vaccinated and anyone visiting either Harold Holt Swim Centre or Prahran Aquatic Centre will need to be as well.

This includes our pools, libraries, waste transfer station, customer service centres, maternal and child health appointments, early education services and programs where our people visit people such as our aged services programs. It does not apply in open public spaces like our parks, gardens, ovals and Prahran Square.

Please use the Victorian Government’s Services Victoria smart phone application or carry other proof of your vaccination status to show if asked by our staff.

If you are yet to get vaccinated, there are appointments available right across Victoria – including at our very own Malvern Town Hall and Prahran Town Hall.

This vaccination approach does not apply to those with a valid medical exemption, if this is you – we’ll support you to visit and use our services safely.

We can’t wait to see people back in our facilities, buildings and services.

*These are the dates currently flagged in the Victorian Government’s reopening roadmap, given the number of Victorians getting vaccinated daily we hope they come forward and will adapt our approach if they do.
