Vodafone Australia is protecting Australians from being ripped off from mobile roaming charges as it reignites its popular $5 international roaming.
It has also boosted the number of included countries to over 100 popular travel destinations for the first time, covering more than 90 per cent of the countries that Australians most frequently travel to.
For just $5 extra a day, Vodafone’s Postpaid customers can use all their plan’s normal inclusions – including unlimited talk and text, all their allocated max-speed data (or 30GB Hotspot Data on the Ultra+ plan), and any included international call minutes – in over 100 selected countries.
Group Executive Consumer, Kieren Cooney, said, “It’s been a tough couple of years, and so many of us are really looking forward to traveling again. The last thing people should have to worry about is being stung with thousands of dollars on their mobile bill.”
“For a flat fee of only $5 extra per day, customers can use their device to stream, call and share to their heart’s content without having to worry about any hidden costs or bill shock when they arrive home.
“Vodafone’s $5 roaming is not only the best value in Australia, it has the greatest reach with a roaming footprint that extends across every continent to the widest breadth of countries of any Australia telco,” Mr Cooney said.
“Only Vodafone offers $5 roaming, and we know Australians love it. Back in 2019, before international borders closed, nearly half a million customers used $5 Roaming each month. It’s one of the many reasons why people make the switch to Vodafone.”
By Christmas, Vodafone will expand $5 Roaming to over 100 countries, with the inclusion of these new destinations:
4. Costa Rica
5. Democratic Republic of the Congo
6. Dominican Republic
7. East Timor
