Nurses and midwives, including newly qualified nurses and midwives and students, are invited to attend the WA Nursing and Midwifery Expo on Friday 11 February 2022 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The WA Nursing and Midwifery Expo on Friday 11 February 2022 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre

Attendees will have the opportunity to gain information on employment opportunities, pathways, graduate programs and postgraduate study opportunities.

The WA Nursing and Midwifery Expo builds on the previously successful Transition to Practice Forum and will feature:

  • public and private organisations providing information face-to-face from booth-style tables
  • formal presentations providing information on areas of workforce need and employment opportunities in Western Australia
  • formal presentations on GradConnect and transition to practice programs for newly qualified nurses and midwives.

Livestreaming will be available for participants who are unable to attend and in the case of COVID-19 restrictions.

Date: Friday 11 February 2022

Time: 9 am to 5 pm

Venue: Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, or online via livestream

Cost: Free – online registration is essential for in-person and online attendance

Who is the WA nursing and midwifery expo for?

  • Skilled nurses and midwives intending to, or already working, in WA.
  • Newly qualified nurses, midwives, and students.

If attending the venue in person, the expo will be a valuable opportunity to network with WA Health Providers, private and aged care sectors, education providers, peak professional bodies and unions to gain information on employment opportunities, career pathways, areas of workforce need, and postgraduate study opportunities.

Newly qualified nurses, midwives, and students

If attending the venue in person, newly qualified nurses, midwives and students will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions about the opportunities available including WA Health Nursing and Midwifery recruitment and other organisations that can support their transition to practice.
