Police are investigating a theft from a liquor store in Warrnambool this afternoon.
Investigators have been told a man entered the Lava Street store about 4.10pm.
He selected a bottle of alcohol which he put down his pants and then proceeded to walk out via the front door without paying.
The man is perceived to be Caucasian, about 172cm tall and aged between 20 and 25.
He was wearing black pants, a black jumper, a black cap, red/orange lensed sunglasses and carrying a large backpack with white straps.
Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
