Western Australia coronovirus update as at 11 April 2021

The Department of Health has reported two new cases of COVID-19 overnight, both are in hotel quarantine.

The State’s total number now stands at 953.

WA Health is monitoring 11 active cases of COVID-19 and 933 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

To date, the WA Department of Health has administered 66,865 COVID-19 vaccinations, including 12,088 people who have received both doses. Yesterday, 306 people were vaccinated.

Yesterday, 310 people attended WA Health COVID clinics, with 300 assessed and 298 swabbed.

There have been 963,123 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 133,627 were from regional WA.

To date, 42 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia – 30 of the B.1.1.7 strain, 11 of the B.1.351 strain and one of the P1 variant (Brazilian variant).
