Western Australia coronovirus update as at 19 January

The Department of Health has today reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia, bringing the State total to 888.

The confirmed case is a man in his 40s who returned to Perth from overseas. He is in hotel quarantine.

WA Health is monitoring 14 active cases and 865 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

There have been 697,023 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 109,453 were from regional WA.

Yesterday 1,719 people presented to WA Health-managed COVID clinics – 1,700 were assessed and 1,699 swabbed.
