Western Australia coronovirus update as at 23 February 2021

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 overnight.

The confirmed case is a woman in her 30s who travelled to Perth from overseas. She is in hotel quarantine.

The State’s total number of confirmed cases is now 913.

WA Health is monitoring three active cases of COVID-19 and 901 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

To date, 22 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia (15 B.1.1.7 strain and 7 B.1.351 strain).

Yesterday 719 people were swabbed at WA Health COVID clinics.

There has been a total of 857,169 tests processed throughout the State. Of those, 126,875 were from regional WA.
