WA Health has reported two new local COVID-19 cases and one travel-related case to 8 pm last night.
The two new local cases, a male and a female, have been identified as contacts of previously reported cases. It is believed both cases were infectious in the community and contact tracers are working with these cases to determine potential exposure sites. These potential exposure sites will be added to the HealthyWA website as soon as they become available.
Both cases are now in self-quarantine. Their known close contacts are currently being investigated and will be directed to get tested and self-quarantine immediately.
The other local case is a returned interstate traveller in self-quarantine.
Testing advice
WA Health has released updated health advice for anyone who has visited any of the exposure sites in Bentley, Bull Creek, Cannington, Jandakot, St James and Success. People who visited the sites in these suburbs listed on the HealthyWA website should get tested immediately.
The public health advice also extends to anyone in the Perth and Peel regions experiencing symptoms. Anyone that feels unwell should get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
A full list of testing clinics is available on HealthyWA website. Metropolitan public testing clinics are open until 8.00pm tonight.
SafeWA
Yesterday, 1,994,032 scans were recorded on the SafeWA app.
Other information
There are currently 112 confirmed active cases in WA. Of these, 34 are in hotel quarantine and 78 are in self-quarantine.
Today’s three new cases bring the State’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 1297.
Using the SafeWA app will help authorities contact those who may be at risk quickly and effectively.
So far in WA, 1,176 people have recovered from the virus.
Exposure sites
WA Health’s contact tracing team continues to identify a new range of exposure sites linked to new cases and it is likely exposure sites will be updated or added. Please continue to check exposure sites regularly, these are listed on the HealthyWA website.
WA Health has identified potential higher risk COVID-19 exposure in Applecross and Mount Lawley, and urgently requires people who visited these sites at the times to get tested immediately and self-quarantine.
Anyone who attended U Natural Spa Therapy in Applecross between 7 to 13 January is required to immediately get tested for COVID-19 and self-quarantine for 14 days from their last exposure, and call 13 COVID (13 26843).
This location has been visited by multiple COVID-19 cases and WA Health believes additional people have attended the business during this time, without registering their attendance or using the SafeWA app.
In addition to this location, anyone who attended New U Massage in Mount Lawley on Monday, 10 January between 10:00am and 8:30pm is also required to immediately get tested for COVID-19 and to self-quarantine for 14 days from their last exposure and call 13COVID (13 26843).
Testing clinics
1,329 Western Australians were swabbed at public clinics yesterday.
WA Health is expanding testing capacity, including operating hours of clinics. People are encouraged to check the HealthyWA website to find clinic locations and opening hours.
Private clinics are also available. Testing is available free of charge at private testing clinics for people who have been advised by WA Health to get tested, or who have been present at exposure sites at the times listed on the HealthyWA website.

COVID-19 vaccinations
Yesterday, 10,646 COVID-19 vaccinations were administered at state-run clinics. Testing figures for private clinics are not available on weekends.
Demand for vaccinations and third doses is increasing. To spread the demand across clinic operating hours and to avoid excessive wait times, people are encouraged to make a booking via Vaccinate WA.
Vaccinations are also available at GPs and pharmacies.
Anyone who received their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine four or more months ago can now book their booster dose and ensure they have maximum protection against the disease.
The Claremont COVID-19 vaccination clinic is now in the Jim Webster Pavilion at Claremont Showgrounds. Entry is still via Gate 8 off Ashton Avenue. The nearest train station is Loch Street. Onsite parking available is also available.
Appointments already booked will be automatically transferred.
A new fixed clinic at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) is expected to open in mid-January 2022. This replaces a pop-up vaccination clinic that opened at the PCEC on 26 December 2021.
