Don’t forget to provide feedback on Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Draft Eco Park Mount Martha Active Recreation Hub Concept ideas.

Council has prepared initial sketches and thoughts about what the new inclusive play and active recreation space for children of all ages could look like.

The proposed Active Recreation Hub for Mount Martha could consist of various recreational elements, including:

  • a skate and scooter bowl with pockets, hips, waterfalls and transfers
  • combination play equipment
  • scooter path
  • parkour equipment
  • a flying fox
  • basket swing
  • a multi-use ball court
  • picnic tables with shade

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor and Briars Ward Councillor Sam Hearn said “Council is committed to providing recreational facilities and spaces for our young people and families for all to enjoy”.

“We know how important recreational spaces are to our youth here on the Peninsula. Let us know your thoughts”.

Briars Ward Councillor Rosie Clark said “Council is committed to creating active and recreational spaces to help families and children thrive. We hope this new facility for Mount Martha will help contribute to this goal”.

Briars Ward Councillor Bev Colomb said “we’re keen to hear ideas from the community to help shape this important recreation opportunity for Mount Martha”.
