Who are Australia’s best farmers?

The 2019 Australian Farmer of the Year nominations are now open!

Do you know a farmer or farming family who goes above and beyond everyday and deserve some recognition?

Is this farmer constantly striving to learn and constantly innovating all while putting some of the world’s best produce on our plates?

Nominations close for the 2019 Farmer of the Year Awards 30 June 2019. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Parliament House in Canberra on 16 October 2019.

In 2018 for the first time in the Award’s history, aquatic fish farmers from Tasmania claimed the top award while the 2018 Young farmer of the Year was awarded to a 33 year old mushroom farmer from Victoria.
