Labor’s incredibly ambitious leader-in-waiting Dean Winter is once again signalling to his factional supporters that he’s ready.
Liberal Member for Prosser, Jane Howlett said Mr Winter is spending all his time pushing his own personal agenda and leadership credentials.
“Mr Winter is out auditioning for Ms White’s job, every single day – everyone can see it, everyone knows it,” Ms Howlett said.
“Mr Winter did multiple media events yesterday and is out again today while Ms White was interstate attending a ‘leadership course’ in South Australia – presumably to learn tactics to keep Mr Winter at bay!
“It’s this sort of infighting which led Labor’s star recruit Dr Bastian Seidel to quit, citing “a toxic environment”.
“And when Ms White couldn’t “end the infighting” like she promised she would, mainland Labor had to send in the administrators.
“Labor is still toxic, divided, and not fit to govern Tasmania.”
