Woman arrested by Task Force Southern, South Australia

On Saturday 16 July Detectives from Task Force Southern arrested and charged a 37-year-old woman from Seaford for attempting to pervert the course of justice.

It will be alleged that woman approached a witnesses on behalf of a third party who is in custody.

The woman has been granted police bail to appear at the Christies Magistrates Court on 29 August.

Superintendent Desmond Bray, Officer in Charge of Major Crime Investigation Branch said “The investigation into the murder of Robert Atkins is ongoing and this crime and the subsequent arrests by Major Crime detectives have occurred as a consequence of that investigation.

Police warn those attempting to pervert the course of justice that there is a penalty of up to 4 years imprisonment

Anyone with information about the death of Robert Atkins or the location of his body is encouraged to ring Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000″
