Cannington Detectives are seeking witnesses and dash-cam or CCTV footage to assist their investigation into a serious assault that occurred in Rivervale this morning, Friday 5 March 2021.
Around 3.40am a man was seen hitting a woman on Great Eastern Highway at the intersection of Lauterbach Way.
A passer-by has alerted police and St John Ambulance. The man fled along Surrey Road. The victim, a woman in her 20s, was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with facial injuries.
It’s believed the victim and the man walked along Hawksburn Road just prior to the incident.
Detectives wish to speak to anyone who saw either person prior to incident or witnessed the assault.
