Woman dies after fatal collision at Ringwood East

A woman has died in hospital following a collision in Ringwood East last month (28 February).

The 81-year-old Croydon woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being struck by a car in Ringwood East but sadly she died in hospital on 6 March.

Investigators believe the woman was crossing the Morinda Street when she was struck by a vehicle which was turning right from Railway Avenue into Morinda Street about 8.20am.

The driver of the blue Mazda wagon, a 34-year-old Camberwell woman stopped and assisted police with their enquiries.

The investigation remains ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
